Job Summary:

Energy Recovery Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Senior Corporate Accountant, located in San Leandro, CA. This position is reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close processes.
    • Responsible for quality, accuracy and timeliness of journal entry preparations and
    • Balance Sheet account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and ensure
    • compliance with SOX controls and internal procedures for the following areas – Bank,
    • Investment, Prepaid, Lease, Fixed Assets and Expense allocation.
    • Prepare PBC schedules for SEC filings for external auditors and responsible for SOX
    • compliance responsibilities with a specific emphasis on investments, lease and fixed
    • assets.
    • Work with an outside accounting firm for property tax returns for multiple sites.
    • Support the submission of all required federal and state tax filings and payments
    • Drive process improvements and assist in the IT automation projects within the
    • accounting function
    • Support management in completing special projects and other tasks as assigned
    • Other duties & projects as assigned

Skills & Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent required
    • 2+ years of financial accounting and GL experience
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Has a successful track record in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting
    • deadlines with a high quality of work
    • Detail-oriented and excellent organization skills
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls/SOX
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • CPA (preferred)
    • At least 1 year of public accounting experience (preferred)

$90,000 – $110,000 a year

The below range is the range that we reasonably believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This range may be modified in the future. The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000.
