The role
SoFi is seeking an attorney with a strong background in consumer financial services litigation to serve as Senior Corporate Counsel, Litigation and Regulatory reporting to our Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate has a strong litigation and consumer financial regulatory background, either in-house or serving as outside counsel. The candidate will also provide support to our employment law group and assist with general contract review.
What you’ll do:
- Advise on consumer litigation and arbitration matters and help develop SoFi’s litigation strategy.
- Manage various litigation matters either directly, or with the assistance of outside counsel, from a wide range of practice areas, including but not limited to, consumer disputes, employment law matters, and financial regulatory enforcement.
- Provide advice to the business on consumer financial regulatory issues including but not limited to: TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, GLBA, UDAAP, EFTA, ESIGN, TCPA
- Assist with general contract review to help support the growth of the business
- Advise on employment law matters that may impact the business
What you’ll need:
- You should be an intellectually curious self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills
- JD from an accredited law school
- Member of the CA bar
- Minimum of 3 years consumer financial litigation and regulatory experience
- Strong consumer financial regulatory background with expertise in: TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, GLBA, UDAAP, EFTA, ESIGN, TCPA
Nice to have:
- Prior in-house experience
- Able to speak Spanish or Portuguese fluently
- Employment law background
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.

Pay range: $118,400.00 – $222,000.00
Payment frequency: Annual
