We are seeking an experienced product lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a stellar Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for leading a team that analyzes and advises on product, privacy, and marketing/advertising legal issues related to the Kuiper network and consumer product offering. You will work closely with Kuiper’s technical teams, including the Kuiper Product Management, Networking, Services, and Security teams. You will learn the technical details of our innovative constellation, satellites, and software. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.
This position is based in Redmond, WA or Seattle, WA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar
– 10+ years experience as an attorney
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in a national or international law firm or in-house law department
– Experience working on product counseling matters
– Experience managing other attorneys
– Lots of curiosity and experience quickly learning new technologies, areas of law, and industry best practices
– Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
– Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
