Meet the team:
The Senior Manager in Cost Accounting and site controllership will be an integral member of the quickly growing and developing Global Operations Finance team with high visibility to our executive leadership! This group is responsible for providing actionable intelligence to executive leadership to drive the global growth and efficiency of the company.
This role offers the exciting opportunity to be a key member of the Dexcom Operations Finance team. This team blends the business partnership, financial analysis, and planning of Finance with the technical analytics of cost accounting to get a truly comprehensive view of the business and stretch both accounting and finance skills. Our Ops Finance teams spread across 3 global manufacturing sites providing actionable intelligence to executive leadership, working closing with those leaders to drive global growth and expansion.
Where you come in:
• You will be the financial leader of the Mesa, AZ manufacturing site who will be responsible for clear and concise financial results, partnering with the site director for accurate metrics and presentations out to leadership
• You will lead a team supporting cost accounting analytics, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reviews of KPI’s and metrics
• You are responsible for partnering with the business and building annual budgets as well as quarterly forecasts for the Mesa manufacturing site
• You will own day- to-day management and oversight of our global controls framework and site manufacturing metrics and KPI’s
• You will partner with the San Diego Sr Manager to manage global cost accounting activities including scrap reconciliations, standard costing process, manufacturing variances, routing creations, deep dives and reviews to ensure cohesive reporting and metrics.
• You will drive process improvements and cross functional projects within the company, including highlighting focus areas for business partners and opportunities for improvement
• You develop team members on accounting skills, reporting capabilities and career development
What makes you successful:
• You are skilled in developing and implementing financial concepts across cost accounting and FP&A
• You are experiences with cost accounting in a manufacturing plant, including developing and setting standard costs, setting rates, and reviewing bill of materials
• You have a deep understanding of general accounting principles (accruals, prepaids, audit requirements) and SOX control experience
• You display professional courage to work with executive level leadership and own the financial strategy and results
• You are curious and drive to always continue learning within the cost accounting realm and execute on process improvements.
• You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including developing and/or improving financial models, reporting and analytics
• You demonstrate good communication skills and comfortable working with upper levels of management
• You can learn to work within Hyperion/SmartView, Apex Reporting, Tableau, Oracle FCCS (forms, inputs, queries), Oracle EBS

Exempt Salary Details:
• The annual base salary range for this role is $122,500 to $204,100. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 13+ years of industry experience.
- 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
