Job Description

Turner & Townsend are currently looking for an ambitious Senior Cost Manager. Working within our Real Estate Cost Management team, you will be supporting Developers, Manufacturers, Retail, Health and Tech clients.

You will be self-motivated and driven by the goal of establishing Turner & Townsend as the preeminent Cost Consultancy in the Pacific Northwest. In this significant position you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction, embedding, and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will –

  • Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity.
  • Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Support our existing key client relationships.
  • Lead proposals for new work.
  • Lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver to the highest quality for the benefit of our clients.
  • Be responsible for the financial management of commissions.
  • Set a clear strategy and ambition for the team.
  • Identify, coach and mentor talent to realize their potential and celebrate the success of others.
  • Grow and develop exceptional people.
  • Display excellence in leadership and service delivery.
  • Be a role model that drives a one business culture that achieves great outcomes by striking the right balance for our people, clients, stakeholders, and society.
  • Always acts with the highest integrity, caring for the safety and well-being of others.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience working in a construction cost management role.
  • Extensive experience of working for a cost management Consultancy.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
  • RICS or equivalent accredited.
  • Experience of leading cost management deliverables on large construction projects of high complexity.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, contract law, innovation, procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $125,000-$175,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications
