Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment
Pay Rate:
$143,200 – $190,900
This position is eligible for Annual Incentive Plan bonus and Long Term Incentive Plan. Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
- This position will report to Chief Counsel or the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment
- HR business and corporate staff partner
- Provide advice and counsel to manufacturing facilities and corporate functions on all areas of employment and labor law, including EEO, leave management, state law compliance, traditional labor law issue spotting
- Interpret and analyze laws, regulations, policies and rulings, and assist in development, implementation and interpretation of appropriate guidelines, policies and practices
- Identify and inform regarding developments and trends in employment and labor law; recommend and advise regarding appropriate response and strategies
- Provide expert and effective representation before various entities, including administrative agencies, collective bargaining representatives, and other parties
- Proactively engage clients and other counsel in ongoing efforts to reduce costs and exposure to legal challenges
- Provide proactive training and education on relevant labor & employment issues and practices to business clients, corporate staff and other attorneys
- Contribute to achieving legal, business and corporate goals as a collaborative member of the legal team and functional partner with other business and specialty counsel
- Lead and/or partner with other functions on department and/or cross functional project teams
- Manage competent, cost effective outside counsel within company guidelines
- Role is currently *hybrid 3 days/week in office; 2 flex days (depending upon job demands and business needs)
The Minimum Qualifications You Need:
- Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school; member in good standing of a state bar and willingness to achieve admission to the State Bar of Tennessee
- Seven (7) or more years of employment and/or labor law experience, including advice and counsel, either private practice or in-house
- TN law license (or ability to obtain)
