Senior Data Engineer – Turn 10 Studios

Turn 10 Studios, makers of the award winning, billion-dollar Forza franchise is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. You will be joining a team of awesome people that move fast, innovate daily, and have fun (we make games!).

As a senior data engineer, you will be working closely with the studio business leaders, data scientists, analysts, designers, and producers to build the models that answer important questions about our players. You will be contributing to build experiences that thrill our players, drive retention, and have data that allows us to clearly prove and visualize it.

You will be building optimized data pipelines and needed architectural components to scale from hundreds of millions of events per day to billions. If your toolbox includes proficiencies in public cloud technologies, Spark and SQL, Turn 10 would love to apply your data expertise to some of the most exciting data problems in the industry!

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
    • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in big data engineering, with a focus on Spark and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the gaming industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies such as Spark Streaming or Flink.
  • Experience with machine learning and data modeling.
  • Interest in cars and/or gaming. Our priority is making amazing games. The ideal candidate will have passion for our products and empathy for our players.
  • Experience designing and building big data architectures using tools such as Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based big data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Data Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.
