This role will also partner with the Data Governance Lead to drive adoption of the overarching data governance program initiatives.
We have laid the foundation for the following programs and are looking for someone to help expand them across the enterprise:
A. Data Governance Forum – drives data discussions, escalates data issues, standardizes data use, approves definitions, and so much more across the community of cross functional users
B. Data Stewardship – formalizes accountability of managing information and data assets on behalf of others and for the best interest of the organization
C. Business Glossary and Data Dictionary – defines business terms and links them to trusted data sources to improve the clarity and usability of our data assets
D. Data Quality Program – develops and maintains processes supporting the quality of our data assets
E. Data Product and Demand Management (our newest addition) – improves tracking and data governance compliance for new enterprise data products
Success in this position will require the following:
1. The ability to excel in the space between business strategy and data to understand complex business needs and translate into data requirements
