Senior Data Scientist (full time, one position)

LeanTaaS Inc.is seeking a qualified Senior Data Scientist

Job Duties and Requirements:

Senior Data Scientist needed in Santa Clara, CA to extract and validate of structured and unstructured data including complex medical free text data. Massage and standardize of EHR data. Discover hidden patterns in large data sets using techniques from statistics, discrete mathematics, and machine learning. Specifically detect anomalies, natural clusters, and numerical trends in processed EHR data. Groom data for use in mathematical operational algorithms, and machine learning models. Assess requirements and available data for a given problem and build the machine learning framework. Perform feature selection and feature engineering and identify the best suitable machine learning model for the specific problem. Finetune model parameters to optimize model accuracy. Iterative brainstorm with customers and product managers to understand the fundamentals of pressing operational problems in healthcare and the subtleties and realities of potential solutions. Build complex mathematical models such as mixed integer programming, agent-based simulation, and genetic algorithm to addresses the problems, and specifying the data required and actionable output from the models. Cull possible models to scalable implementation approaches that are viable for integration into the product. Rigorous software specifications of complex algorithms such as custom forecasting, mixed integer linear programming, natural language processing, etc. Implement data intensive software features with clean and modular code using single responsibility principle, object-oriented design, functional paradigms, etc. to make the code efficient, clean, testable, and maintainable. Continuous improvement and optimization of current models, ensuring compatibility with the evolving demands of the product. Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 months of Analytics experience. 3 months of Analytics experience must include experience with Python and Optimization Models. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of progressive experience in Analytics. 5 years of progressive experience in Analytics must include 3 months of experience with Python and Optimization Models. Any suitable combination of education, training, is acceptable.

$130,500 – $140,500 a year

The offered base salary for this position will reflect careful consideration of a number of factors, including your location, skills and qualifications, prior relevant experience, internal equity and market conditions. This range may be modified in the future.
