About the job

The Core Experience (CX) team at StubHub is responsible for the end-to-end product experience for fans looking to discover, buy, and sell tickets to their favorite live events through our web and mobile platforms.As we pursue big bets and rapidly enhance our existing experiences, we need an experienced systems thinker who can weave new experiences together into a cohesive whole across platforms. As the Senior Design Systems Designer for Core Experience, you’ll establish a comprehensive and adaptable design system for StubHub, that promotes consistency in user experience and enables efficient design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive an effort to enhance StubHub’s design systems – understand gaps and opportunities, set the vision, and pursue investment areas to ensure effectiveness and relevancy of design systems over time
• Collaborate with multiple product teams and lead the development and evolution of UI components and patterns for both desktop and mobile web and native apps
• Conduct experiments with cross-functional partners to measure success and track progress of design systems
• Champion design excellence at CX org, actively guide product teams to use the right components and patterns
• Lead intake and triage of design systems questions and requests
• Own design systems documentation, ensuring accuracy and discoverability
• Coach and guide junior or mid-level designers to grow their skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a product or a visual designer, including substantial experience designing native apps for iOS and Android.
• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Portfolio that showcases a mastery in visual and interaction design
• Experience exploring and defining emerging patterns, evolving design system through systems thinking
• Ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to inform design decisions
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative product development process
• Exceptional skill in design and prototyping tools

The anticipated gross base annual salary range for this role is $185,000 – $250,000 per year. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
