Principle Objectives:
Assist both 2D and 3D in creating and developing innovative design solutions with high luxury aesthetic, within budgetary and timetable restraints of all programs. Responsible to maintain and uphold all brand standards as determined by brand management and the licensor. Responsible for incorporating brand aesthetics, product positioning and related criteria into the design development of packaging, presentations, print, and collateral materials. Projects are frequently undertaken and completed under very tight timelines and require a great attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Reports to both 2D and 3D Design Directors on all facets of design, inclusive of packaging, related collateral print materials to ensure cohesive and strategic design solutions that effectively communicate our brand story and enhance the overall customer experience while adhering to strict budget and tight timeline.
• Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional development partners including Creative, Technical Packaging, Product and Consumer Marketing, Product Development, GBSC, and GSR. Responsible for participating in the new launch process, including attending creative prep meetings, PPD, Issuing Design Directions (DDs) and Design Turnovers (DTOs) as directed by the Design Directors and in accordance with timetables.
• Create high quality 2D or 3D product rendering, build mockups for presentations.
• Support to build the brand guidelines in both 2D visuals and packaging design.
• Stay updated on industry trends and conduct competitor research.
• Follow workflow and sign-off protocols to ensure final deliverables are error-free.
• Photograph product, and retouch imagery as needed for packaging and/or displays.
• Participate in weekly creative department status and work closely with other members of the creative and creative operations team.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• BA or BFA preferred.
• 3+ years of Graphic Design, Packaging Design or Industrial Design.
• Proficient in use of MAC environment with technical knowledge and proficiency in use of Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Keynote a must. 3D Software (Fusion 360, Solidworks, Rhino) and Rendering Software Keyshot are a plus.
• Conceptual thinker, strong sensibility for shape and 3D visualization.
• Experience with branding / graphic and packaging designs – portfolio shows relevant but not limited to the Luxury Beauty / Fashion market.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, innovative, and able to multi-task under pressure in fast paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Needs to be highly organized, detail oriented, timely and fiscally responsible.
• Must appreciate and respect the dynamics and approval process of a licensed brand.
• Illustration, hand drawing or pattern creation skills a plus.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
