The Walmart Design team creates experiences and designs the websites , tools, and mobile solutions for millions of customers and associates. As a part of a Design team that is at the forefront of retail, you will be responsible for building best-in-class experiences that drive continuous improvement and innovation on the world’s largest company. As a Senior Content Designer , you’ll create content that is purposeful, clear, compelling and consistent while adhering to established style guidelines and the Walmart voice and tone. Collaborating with design, product and business partners, you’ll positively shape products and foster an inclusive customer experience with your artful use of voice, content best practices and end-to-end content strategies. You’ll focus on growing your strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the broader team. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the ongoing evolution of UX content systems and processes that enable the team to scale efficiently and effectively. You bias towards action, proactively identifying problems and solutions you can contribute to.

Th e Omni Experience team brings our retail and consumer services together for our customers as they interact with us online, in our apps or visiting our stores. This work will allow you to innovate and directly impact the millions of customers we serve every day , contribut ing to Walmart+ and elevat ing the voice , value , and user experience of our membership program experience . You’ll also deliver customer-centric solutions at scale that guide customers throughout the W+ journey.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have…

  • 4+ years working as a UX Writer, Copywriter, Line Editor, or a relevant field in a consumer-focused business/prod uct. E xperience with consumer-facing rewards or membership programs is a plus .
  • A recognized strong writing background that brings together brand voice and customer experience principles.
  • Experience in retail or transactional products
  • Strong understanding of customer needs such as motivations and behaviors, with the ability to translate them into engaging and actionable UX copy.
  • An eye for taking the complex and mak ing it simple.
  • A strong foundation of content design and UX writing principles and practices.
  • Ability to produce great work in short timeframe and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
  • A self-starter mindset who is well organized and always looking to improve things.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in Communications, Creative Writing, or similar and at least 4+ years of experience in product design.
  • Have a fantastic portfolio of content design solutions that drive results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$168,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications…

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
