We are looking for a Senior development manager in the Requirement and Application Lifecycle Management areas to create and maintain software development and integrations across various platforms to enable Engineering workflows and needs related to Compliance/Industry Standards. This role involves strategizing, planning, architecting, executing integration, collaborating with global teams, and engaging with In-Region stakeholders. Also play a major role with M&A activities during the transition and migration activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of up to 10 people in the US, providing technical and people leadership with some or all activities listed below.
  • Stakeholder engagement within US and EMEA regions
  • Conception, design, and development of interfaces and integration architectures.
  • Managing data analysis and integration of disparate systems.
  • Working with Analysts and Business Users to convert specifications into technical designs and reference implementations.
  • Building intensive data exchange and integration solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Coordinating activities with other developers locally and globally to ensure that integration projects are completed on time.
  • Experience in Formulating strategies and designing architectures for systems integrations.
  • Ensuring that best practices in integration processes with strong alignment with global teams.
  • Maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the company’s integration architecture.
  • Analyzing and improving current system integrations and migration strategies.
  • Keeps abreast of current technology trends and familiar with application development best practices and industry trends.
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision or direction.
  • Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business.
  • Experience in working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Ensure Code quality and participate in the code review meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
  • Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
  • Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
  • Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
  • Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications:
• 7+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
OR
9+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years in a leadership role in projects/programs.

Skills/Experience:

  • Should have 15+ years of work experience in application development, people management, stakeholder management, global team collaboration etc..
  • Strong Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology and Scaled Agile.
  • Experience in Planning and executing project lifecycle with large Agile teams.
  • Experience using DevOps tools – e.g. Git, CICD, Jenkins, Bitbucket.
  • Experience in Full stack application development with Angular, React, Java/Java EE , Python, Node JS & NoSQL technologies.
  • Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Experience in Integration concepts and patterns – e.g. XML Schemas, SOAP, WS specifications.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Node.js.
  • Proficiency with server-side languages such as Java and Python.
  • Expertise in at least one popular Java framework (like Spring etc).
  • Experience in database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB along with Tuning
  • Expertise in managing Cloud / VMWare resources and good exposure on Dockers.

Pay range:
$145,000.00 – $218,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
