SUMMARY:
Leads the two person Ellipse DevOps team driving reliable, scalable operations of the platform. Develops, maintains, and optimizes the development and production environments. Responsible for infrastructure, build, integration, and software deployment process. Insures responsive technical operations capabilities responding to internal and external stakeholders. Insures security posture of solutions remains strong.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy and manage both IaaS and PaaS services in development and production
- Develop and drive real time observability solutions that provide visibility into system health
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations best practices.
- Manage CI and CD tools with team
- Ability to help develop and implement security measures related to the development process
- Deploy and monitor intrusion detection and vulnerability scanning system
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Diagnose and develop fixes to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidents
- Lead issue triage process for client support
- Serve as technical focal point for client success teams
- Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation
- Monitor financial cost of cloud environments
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification/
Knowledge
- BS/MS Computer Science degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of DevOps experience.
- Experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with vulnerability scanners and remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to use cloud services (AWS and/or Azure).
Skills/Abilities:
- Deep experience in an AWS cloud hosted environment
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Effectively work and contribute as part of a team.
- Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently.
- A working understanding of code and script (React, Node.js, Python, Perl and/or Ruby). Experience with serverless architectures built with Lambdas a plus.
- Expertise with Jenkins and GitHub actions
- Experience with Dynatrace and Splunk and creating AWS consoles
- Understanding of DNS, Networking, and Virtualization
- Background with Agile, Scrum, and Lean are a plus
- Microsoft PowerBI expertise a plus
- Ability to terraform and operate platforms in AWS and/or Azure

The pay range for this role is: $93,000.00-140,000.00
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off and annual bonus. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Travel not required
- Hybrid work environment in Boston office three days per week
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends depending upon when issues occur.
