Position Summary:
The Senior Digital Producer/Editor is an administrative, creative, and technical engine that powers the production process and brings the know-how needed for polished productions. This individual is a key creative member of the Department of Media, Programming, and Production in all aspects of efficiently producing and editing assigned projects. Tasks include but are not limited to, serving as a producer and/or associate producer for assigned projects, editing high-quality video and audio content, and advising team members about the latest over-the-top content-creation and production industry standards, best practices, and audience engagement habits. The person filling this role will ensure that his/her work represents the mission, vision, and values of the Voice of Prophecy and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Authority & Accountability:
Authority as delegated by the Director of Media, Programming, and Production.
Essential Position Functions:
Project assignments and tasks may shift temporarily or permanently, depending on business needs. Labor time estimates are subject to change.
Authentic (18 hours per week approx.):
- Post-produce weekly episodes with a high degree of accuracy, speed, and creativity
- Post-produce shorts, clips, and similar content
- Maintain an assigned buffer on all edited content
- Perform scheduling and other producing tasks as assigned
- Produce and manage assigned web content
- Produce and manage all digital and radio distribution
- Collect, analyze, and report on digital and broadcast analytics for Authentic-weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Perform other producing- and production-related tasks as assigned
- Discovery Mountain (13 hours per week approx.):
- Build and maintain production staff and talent schedules
- Post-produce weekly content for the Discovery Mountain Club
- Coordinate all studio recording activities
- Produce and manage assigned web content
- Collect, analyze, and report on digital and broadcast analytics for Discovery Mountain-weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Other (9 hours per week approx.):
- Work as a studio or control room crew member during other assigned productions
- Work as our Studio and Craft Services Coordinator, helping to keep our studios and production center clean, organized, functioning, and stocked with food and beverages
- Keep updated on media production and consumption trends, technology, industry standards, and best practices
- Establish and manage assigned contracts and supervise contractors
- Serve as a full-lifecycle project manager for assigned projects
- Manage intellectual property licensing and enforcement
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the departmental director
Position Specifications
Qualifications, Scope, and Complexity of Duties:
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media production, marketing, or advertising from an accredited college or university
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience, Skills & Other Qualifications:
- Member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Minimum of 5 years experience in production, with an emphasis on digital and multimedia audio and video production and editing, including industry-standard tools for non-linear editing
- 1 year’s experience with web and social media content management systems
- Able to work under strict deadlines and with ambiguous goals while maintaining high levels of quality and creativity
- Skilled with personal relationships
- Exceptional organizational ability and high level of attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to urgent projects or unusual situations

The Voice of Prophecy, headquartered in Loveland, Colorado, produces digital, radio, and TV content in support of our mission. Our motto is “Equipping the World for Christ to Come,” and our media productions are part of our goal to tell others about Jesus. The media portfolio includes the flagship TV and radio program Authentic, the kids’ audio drama Discovery Mountain, and numerous acclaimed historical documentaries.

- Reports directly to the Director of Media, Programming, and Production
- Internal stakeholders at Voice of Prophecy: Manager/Treasurer, Speaker/Director, associate speakers, Discovery Mountain department director, other department directors, staff, and volunteers
- External stakeholders: listening and viewing audiences of Authentic and Discovery Mountain, contractors, talent, parents of talent under age 18, vendors, donors, and supporters
- Work is performed in an office/studio environment and includes occasional weekend and evening work, attending special events, and/or meetings
- May require reaching, bending, kneeling, standing, climbing, and sitting for extended periods of time, and repetitive keyboard work
- Moderate physical effort is required by moving and positioning objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and/or up to ten (10) pounds frequently
- Some travel required for production, events, and meetings
Specific requirements:
- 38 Regular hours per week
- Some variable and or weekend work will be required
- Office/business attire clothing is required.
