Sr. Director of IT Support

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Sr. Director of IT Support to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.
In this role you will:
- Provide leadership, guidance and development to the IT Help Desk team, ensuring a positive and collaborative team environment
- Deliver exceptional customer service experiences, maintaining a professional and friendly work environment
- Develop and execute strategies to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT incidents and service requests. Including but not limited to Service Level Agreements focused on response times, issue resolution, service quality and user satisfaction
- Manage and allocate department resources for optimal coverage and performance
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills and stay updated on technology trends
- Lead and execute strategic projects, such as system implementations, maintenance, upgrades, and process enhancements
- Oversee and enforce IT security policies
- Work closely with management to understand business activities, deadlines, and expected deliverables
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of issues, solutions, and procedures, creating a knowledge base
We require:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- ITIL practitioner certification and up preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working in IT operations.
- 3+ years managing helpdesk, hiring/supervising teams and projects.
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network, data and systems administration, and telecommunications systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
Hours: Monday-Friday- 8:30-5
Salary up to $125,000/year based on experience. Potential for discretionary bonus.
