About the role
Roku’s Devices business is responsible for growing Roku active accounts around the world. Roku’s active accounts are approaching half of broadband households in the US and are growing well internationally. In addition, the Devices business has launched two recent initiatives – Smart Home and Smart TVs made by Roku.
This role supports the top level executives running the Devices business with financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis. We derive a significant competitive advantage from the highly analytical approach we take to managing the company, and the Devices FP&A team plays a key role in this area. Senior management heavily depends on the FP&A team to accurately track trends in performance and identify opportunities for improvement, and the outcome of our group’s analyses plays a critical role in the important and strategic decision making for the company.
This role reports to the VP/ Head of FP&A and is the primary finance partner to the President of Roku Devices business.
For California Only – The estimated annual salary for this position is between $232,000 and $447,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing
- Business partner with the Devices team to forecast all aspects of the Devices P&L (revenue, gross profit, opex & headcount)
- Develop & maintain annual budget & long range plan financial models and scenario analysis across the Devices business
- Assist in go to market strategy & operational execution, providing actionable recommendations and analysis to senior management
- Own all month end, quarter end and earnings support across the Devices business
- Lead financial systems and process optimization, capturing efficiencies by simplifying data structure, streamlining workflows and utilizing reporting
- Analyze and monitor forecasted revenue inputs against financial targets; proactively identifying both risks and opportunities
- Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for a variety of special projects that may include M&A, new business initiatives, external market analysis and other ad-hoc projects
- Establish a highly collaborative, cross-functional relationships across the broader Roku organization
- Lead, inspire and develop a highly-talented team of 10+ team members
We’re excited if you have
- 15+ years of experience, ideally with a combination of finance and operations/ hardware experience (e.g. FP&A/ corporate finance, management consulting, in other highly analytical roles)
- Exceptional communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations and analyses to executive team in a clear, concise and actionable manner
- Experience leading, motivating, and inspiring a high-performing team
- Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively
- Experience aligning and driving cross-functional groups
- Superior problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage numerous projects with competing timelines
- Proven track record of advanced analytical skills; must be able to define and execute key analyses with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Experience creating and implementing process and standardizing financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
