Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist has responsibility for developing, optimizing, and overseeing task, project and process workflows and project production management frameworks guiding all aspects of the Education Web Strategy and Services (EWSS) team’s work. With a continual focus on optimizing production processes and workstreams to maximize efficiency of the team’s individual and collective efforts and with a goal of achieving a high rate of project delivery timeliness in a fluid and dynamic environment of competing priorities, the Senior Specialist will partner regularly with the Senior Digital Content Manager and the team of Digital Content Specialists to assess, prioritize and dynamically adjust-as-necessary hundreds of interdependent tasks comprising the project production workstreams within the Education digital production portfolio consisting of web, intranet, video, email marketing, paid advertising, social media, social media governance, web governance and digital marketing performance analytics reporting. The Senior Specialist will partner with the Director and the Senior Digital Content Manager to develop, optimize and continuously iterate upon a series of reporting dashboards to regularly assess individual and teamwide utilization metrics, identify production efficiency pinch points, benchmark predictable production timeframes for the EWSS team’s work, and facilitate the teamwide use of a suite of reporting metrics to provide the service line managers of a team comprised of ~25 salaried and supplemental staff with the information and skills to enable an agency-like production model that operates with efficient harmony, monitors for and averts staff burnout, and maximizes individual and collective work efforts. The Senior Specialist will assist in the development of key performance indicators related to time and utilization and will monitor and troubleshoot time-tracking reporting metrics to ensure systems are performing reliably and advise managers and line staff on time-tracking best practices and methodologies. Senior Specialist will partner with individual team members and their managers when systems are not working as designed and/or change management/training intervention assistance is required. When new tools and processes are rolled out, Senior Specialist will facilitate and deliver teamwide, manager-level and/or individual training/coaching sessions to ensure comfort and comprehension of best-practices uses for production management approaches and will partner with managers to develop individualized performance response plans and/or interventions where required. The Senior Specialist will additionally assist with the development of project workflows and tracking systems to support the Director of Enrollment and Recruitment Operations (ERO) and ERO’s project management approaches and application of project management tools and methodologies.

This position is 100% remote work; can work from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of progressively responsible professional and management experience, experience in a digital agency (or equivalent digital operations setting), experience in staff utilization measurement and assessment, experience in facilitating change management and/or delivering training/coaching, experience working with digital project management platforms in a distributed team setting, and experience facilitating remote workers within the context of digital production workstreams.

Requires an expert understanding of digital marketing operations and effective and efficient web/digital production approaches and creative teams is essential to the success of this role. Developing and fostering the change-management necessary to build an “agency” digital production culture for account and project management will be a critical early objective.
