We are hiring an Senior Environmental Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting to support our client in their Tampa, FL office. Relocation assistance is offered for the right fit.

Our client is an industry leader in regulatory compliance, site assessment, and remediation services for private industry and all levels of government. They have adeptly and concurrently executed hundreds of cleanups at military installations, Superfund sites, and Airports, including other Commercial, Federal, and State sites.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Review existing data and develop a strategy to fill data gaps and determine the remedial approach
  • Design and lead pilot studies and field testing for various/emerging contaminants
  • Design small and large-scale remedial systems to address soil, groundwater, and vapor contamination for sites regulated under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs
  • Design process/facility engineering projects and industrial wastewater systems
  • Manage O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection, and troubleshooting
  • Provide data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling
  • Prepare remediation feasibility studies, remedial action plans, and cost estimates
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Initiate and complete environmental inspections at client facilities
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Execute other tasks such as SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, and permit applications/compliance reports; Brownfields assessment and rehabilitation; and remedial system construction management

Senior Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Between 8 and 15 years of experience
  • Professional engineering license in FL (and/or other states)
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • Strong experience with vapor mitigation, groundwater/soil remediation, and remediation O&M
  • Experience with remedial design plans and specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, material balances
  • Understanding of groundwater/lithology characteristics/logging, hydraulics
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and communication skills
  • Experience with task/project management and proposals
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
  • Regional travel up to 30% on an annual basis
