OVERVIEW
We are looking for a qualified Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our growing and exciting team! They will need to lead commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The Superintendent will oversee completion of assigned projects by leading site safety, quality control, and project schedule. They must be well organized and capable of managing complex construction projects across all phases.

SALARY
$110,000-$130,000 annually with additional bonus opportunities
REQUIREMENTS
Location: Denton, TX
Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ground up commercial construction
- Proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including building plans and specifications
- MS office, AutoCAD and Naviswork (or Revit)
- Experience in Quality Control
- Detail oriented, organized and results driven with a sense of urgency
- Ability to bid, negotiate and prepare scopes for subcontract agreements, create and manage construction schedules
- Manage and deliver projects on time and on budget
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Education: Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
Other: Submit to a background and drug test, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing and verifying construction plans and specifications
- Coordinate schedule, manpower, equipment and resources
- Direct and evaluate site personnel and staff
- Make sure project safety and security is being enforced
- Review and approve all subcontractor and vendor payment and do timely preparation of payment requisitions
- Create and enforce a construction schedule that is tracked and updated daily
- Initial project estimates and bidding and qualifying subcontractors
- Preparing scopes of work and recommending subcontractors to be selected for contracting on the construction of the project
- Negotiating scopes of work and final contract amounts, preparing, estimating and verifying change order requests
- Implementation of strict construction safety practices
- Verify compliance with the plans and specifications, hosting weekly and monthly job site meetings as well as managing and conducting other duties necessary for the successful completion of the projects
- Review monthly subcontractor invoices
- Attend monthly budget draw meetings, and cost to complete
