OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in New York, NY! The Sr. Financial Analyst will support the Entertainment division of CBS Interactive and will focus primarily on Paramount+which houses content from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian Channel, TV Land, VH1, Paramount Pictures and other sports programming as well as original streaming content.
Much of the Analyst’s time will be dedicated to the valuation of ad revenue in the service. This role also involves valuing incremental ad revenue for content procurement opportunities, ranging from legacy or original series to movies. This role is focused on ad revenue and its relation to content strategy. The role will be modeling intensive and require an independent and creative problem solver. Attention to detail is essential as analyses help inform long-term digital strategy.

Your Day-to-Day:
– Responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting and expansion of Paramount+ ad revenue.
– Project inventory and consumption patterns for the entire service, maintaining monthly partner (Amazon, Roku, etc.) forecasts as well as the value of our linear business on streaming.
– Assist Content FP&A in valuing Ad Revenue for Originals and Sports properties as part of the organization’s Greenlight process.
– Assist Accounting in monthly/quarterly close which includes preparation of accruals as well as reconciliation and variance analysis of forecast to actual results as well as order level reconciliation.
– Work with internal business partners (Data Insights Group, Yield, Business Development/Content & Strategy) to model new Paramount+ expansion opportunities, including analyzing Ad ARPU, new partnerships, content-based projects and maintaining of other Key Performance Indicators to help drive business decisions.
– Create and update executive reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis including weekly pacing reports and monthly decks to highlight performance of the P+ ad business.
– Create strategic valuable analyses around advertising growth opportunities and core business metrics and to drive better decisions and results.
– Ad hoc requests and analyses will be frequent.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s Degree required
– 5 +years of experience in FP&A, finance, or equivalent quantitative roles
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
– High level of proficiency in Excel, experience in preparing complex financial models and manipulating large datasets
– Strong communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners
– Experience in a highly analytical environment
– Strong work ethic and an acute attention to detail required
– Ability to work quickly and accurately on multiple projects concurrently
– Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Accounting major preferred
– Rigorous modeling experience
– Prior experience in digital media, specifically in a subscription-based role, is highly desirable!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $72,900.00 – 105,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
