The Senior Financial Analytics Professional manages data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and specific business performance issues. The Senior Financial Analytics Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analytics Professional collates, models, interprets, and analyzes data in order to identify, explain, and influence variances and trends. Explains variances and trends and enhances modeling techniques. May possess financial or actuarial background. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Role Specifics

  • DOI/DOL requests
  • Build data customized extracts per DOI requirements
  • Work with DOIs to shape requests in a manner that reflects complexities of healthcare data
  • DOI request support/backup
  • Dashboard: Average, quartile payment information by provider, market, specialty, provider type
  • Simulate cost/compliance approach, to shape our policy
  • Evaluate risk
  • Model contracting activities (professional and hospital)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI (DAX), and Tableau
  • 5 years technical experience
  • Experience in compiling, modeling, interpreting, and analyzing data in order to identify, explain, and influence variances and trends
  • Must be able to explain variances and trends and enhance modeling techniques
  • Experience working with moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Financial or actuarial background
  • Project Management Certification

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. A ssociates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$78,800 – $108,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
