Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior II Developer for Information Management.

In this role, the successful candidate will be part of our Business Intelligence team and responsible for the creation, maintenance, and administration of BI Dashboards, Scorecards, Reports and Analytics for the organization. The Business Intelligence Developer will be a member of this team, and they should have a proven track record of successful business intelligence implementations in both design and deployments

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence applicationsincluding operational reports, dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reporting
  • Analyzes data to ensure correct output, troubleshoots issues, and performs unittesting.
  • Creates accurate and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Participates in systems analysis and design using development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
  • Conducts complete diagnostics of most business problems.
  • Anticipates implementation obstacles. Develops specifications and designs technical systems. Selects tools and methodologies for projects.
  • Commits to deliverables with customers and/or management. Meets project deadlines.
  • Has direct input to budget and resource planning.
  • Mentors less-experienced staff with responsibility for their technical development.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Must have a BS in Computer Science, Business Administration.
5+ years experience developing business intelligence applications.
Strong SQL and database skills.
Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard design.
Strong knowledge of Tableau 10.2 and above and experience building dashboards using Tableau.
Knowledge of ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
Proven track record of implementing business intelligence applications.
Flexibility to work on and learn various technologies a must.
Strong communication skills a must

Preferred Qualifications:
SAP Business Objects suite of tools including Universe design, WEBI, and Xcelsius.
Knowledge of and experience with statistical analysis a plus.
Experience with building predictive models using R or SAS a plus.
Experience with Python, JavaScript a plus.
Experience with health care metrics and analytics is preferred but not required.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $92,066-$114,769.59.

Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
