The Senior Installation Engineer is a member of the Program Engineering Team within the Program Management Department. This individual will perform tasks associated with the incorporation of Safran Passenger Innovations’ products onto Aircraft Platforms. They will be a member of the technical team responsible for accomplishing tasks associated with Program Engineering for Airline Programs. The Senior Installation Engineer will receive task assignments from a senior member of the Team, Technical Lead(s), assigned to oversee the technical tasks associated with a group of programs. In some cases, the Senior Installation Engineer can be the assigned as the Technical Lead for Installation engineering elements. Tasks will include the detailed engineering work associated with incorporating Safran Passenger Innovations’ RAVE products to specific Aircraft Platforms for ultimate delivery to airline customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce seat and system drawings as well as other electrical and/or mechanical drawings/documentation for the installation of company equipment onto aircraft platforms
- Produce Engineering Drawings consistent with company standards for our products and the integration onto Aircraft Platforms
- Responsible for design review preparation, support, attendance and delivery
- Ensure design requirement data is retrieved and implemented properly
- Ensure requirement compliance for cable design and installation
- Aircraft certification compliance data preparation
- Support system installations or trouble shooting as required
- Interface with team members and be a contributing, value-added member of the team
- Ensure program configuration data is retrieved and implemented properly
- Sales Support as required for the integration of Sales Kits
- Perform basic installation designs independently
- Utilize knowledge gained to improve efficiency in supporting customer program delivery
- Perform as an Installation Engineering Technical Lead as necessary
- Independently represent the company at Technical Meetings with Seat and Monument Vendors and/or Integrators
- Perform technical checks of installation drawings and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 6-10 years of experience working in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
- 3+ years of experience performing in a technical role on similar engineering tasks
- Experience with IFE or aircraft installation design
- Experience working in a team environment
- Advanced experience in the use of AutoCAD software application (2D)
- Experience in the use of 3D Modeling software application preferred
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $98,000 to $130,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
