Senior Interior Designer (AutoCAD)

An ADP client is currently recruiting for an experienced individual to be our next Senior Interior Designer to join our team in our Winter Park, FL location. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

We an award-winning architecture and interior design firm in Florida. Looking to expand to our current staff and find new talent.

About the Role:

The employee would produce luxury custom home and remodel interior detailing designs and specifications in line with our owner’s design aesthetic. The employee would meet with clients, listen to their requirements and be able to create their interior designs from scratch in collaboration with the project’s lead architect and kitchen designer. The candidate must have strong technical AutoCAD skills to implement their designs into working plans. They also must be able to professionally manage the client process so that decisions are made timely to meet construction deadlines. The candidate must be able to efficiently design and manage multiple projects at one time.

This position is challenging yet inspiring. All our clients expect superior design, expertise, attention to detail, communication, timeliness, outstanding customer service, and to be a priority. Each designer works on approximately ten to twenty projects at one time. Projects are generally 4,500 sq. ft. and up.

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Can listen to a client’s vision and create superior design without much supervision.
  • Works under and accepts supervision from the project’s lead architect and management.
  • Can collaborate and communicate well with other designers on the project as well as the construction department to ensure the project is built in a timely manner.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management.

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degrees in interior design or similar areas
  • Should be able to visit clients as needed.
  • Must have a portfolio of residential interior projects they have personally designed.
  • An AutoCAD test may be a part of the interview requirement.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Samples of your working portfolio will be required to be considered.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful, but not required.

Company Offers:

  • Annual salary begins at $70k will be commensurate with experience and education.
  • 2023 potential bonus of 10% of salary if profit goals met to be paid March 2024 (prorated for time of employment).
