Senior IT ERP Business Analyst

Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Senior-Level business analyst who will help in the administration of our ERP System and enhancement projects in a manufacturing environment. Willing to support customer service and shipping departments that supports order management for our manufacturing locations. The position will support continuous improvement and Helpdesk issues related to the areas of Order Entry, Shipping, EDI, Pricing, Inventory and Shop Floor Systems. Primary responsibilities include configuration, design, development, and troubleshooting of JD Edwards, EDI mappings and the corresponding business processes in a fast paced, timeline-driven environment. Secondary responsibilities include production support, testing, and training.

Job Duties
• Guide the business unit in implementation best practices for their business processes and ineffective usage of the tools and technologies.
• Understanding of standard JDE implementation model across MacLean-Fogg.
• Participate in requirements gathering, configuration, or process design sessions for project requests when needed to understand the impact to finance.
• Track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
• Create or assist others in writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures.
• Lead or assist power user and end user training.
• Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests.
• Collaborative approach and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Display a good understanding of Distribution and EDI to support design decisions, implementation activities, and continuous improvement projects (Examples of areas are, Inventory Management, Order Entry, Shipping, Reports Now/Reporting, Pricing, shop floor systems)
• Ensure cross-functional access to systems; utilize ERP integration methodologies to map business processes to ERP modules and administer user acceptance testing
• Assist in the mapping and testing of EDI integration with customers and suppliers.
• Display a good knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for conducting business analysis and proficiency in conducting business requirements-gathering sessions
• Maintain a “teacher” attitude including patience with paces of learning while working with end users
• Has knowledge of ERP languages and can communicate with programmers and other specialists on matters of file design, testing, debugging, storage, access, and related activities
• Consult with business unit leadership and/or project team leadership to drive project activities
• Track and document changes to functional and business specifications
• Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and manage multiple task assignments in a cross-functional team setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Purchasing, Distribution and EDI
• 3-5 years of experience using an ERP system, JD Edwards Enterprise One preferred
• Analytical mindset to organize stakeholder feedback, develop solutions, and prioritize implementation work
• Proficient in Microsoft’s Suite of products including; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Teams

Competencies/Skills
• Self-starter with zeal for problem solving and continuous improvement
• Ability to use data and/or insights to perform root cause analysis to help guide decision making
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and facilitate training and testing sessions with end users
• Ability to work independently or with a group to identify and recommend resolution to issues
• Business acumen in related field and ability to quickly understand new business terms, data, methodology, philosophy, etc.
• Customer focused with the ability to quickly prioritize actions based on day-to-day activities
• Process focused with the ability to organize information, projects, tasks, etc.
• 2+ years supporting EDI with multiple standards (Example: ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
• Automotive experience is a plus
• Travel Requirement: 50% plus
