This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design, code, and maintain high-performance applications using Java and front-end technologies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, the technical application architect, and other developers to design, develop, and implement high quality code components that meet or exceed business requirements.
Design and develop highly scalable, resilient Java Spring boot applications and microservices.
Evaluate and provide technical solutions to sophisticated application development problems.
Collaborate with other team members to develop product features and services.
Develop tests to validate code quality.
Stay up to date on relevant technologies, trends and opportunities.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5+ years of hands-on software development experience coding with the Java Programming Language.
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience developing in a hybrid (on prem + cloud) environment.
Understanding of the software practices of Continuous Integration and Automated Testing.
Extensive experience with core Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
Proven understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus. Hands-on experience or UI skills with Angular are a plus.
Consistent track record of designing, developing and integrating scalable RESTful services.
Demonstrated success with Java Development IDE’s Eclipse or IntelliJ
Experience with MySQL or SQL Server.
AWS Cloud development experience is highly preferred, hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, SQS, DMS, SNS, SES, S3 and others.
Proven knowledge of source controls like Git or BitBucket.
Knowledge of Scrum and Agile based development methodologies.
Strong collaboration skills.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $66,300 – $176,300.
