We are looking for a Senior Litigation Analyst – Chicago or Remote

The Legal Operations Team is instrumental in driving operational change and optimizing legal operations globally to increase employee engagement and efficiency.
The Impact You Will Have
As the Senior Litigation Analyst, you will report to the AVP, Head of North America Legal Operations and will be responsible for assisting the General Counsel Attorneys and Claims department in responding to subpoenas, e-discovery compliance, legal research, drafting Non-disclosure /Confidentiality Agreements and document review and production. You are a subject matter expert for LegalX and Legal tracker reporting and data pulls. You will also be responsible for participating in internal investigations for code of conduct, whistleblower and ethics violations.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Understanding what documents are being requested for subpoenas, gathering the documents from various departments and producing the appropriate documents in response.
- Owning the LegalX and Legal Tracker processes to create reports and analyze legal spend.
- Recognizing the need for litigation holds and owning the process to issue and monitor litigation holds for both Claims and Corporate Litigation.
- Owning the AGCS e-discovery process, including working directly with in-house and external counsel to produce the legally required electronic discovery.
- Drafting search terms, reviewing the data from the search, and producing only the relevant documents.
- Reducing outside legal fees by reviewing and producing only relevant documents for the e-discovery process.
- Assisting with internal investigations, including alleged Ethics violations, Fraud (employees, vendors and insureds) and Code of Conduct violations, reviewing documents, conducting interviews and drafting recommendations.
- Working with outside law enforcement agencies to pursue recovery or other actions when warranted by the investigation results.
- Basic understanding of Bankruptcy and Notices of claims to work directly with Corporate Collections on issues regarding collecting deductibles and premiums.
- Reviewing and opining on sufficiency of Non-Disclosure Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements for both Claims and Underwriting.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a law firm or Corporate Legal department with significant litigation support responsibilities;
- Knowledge of subpoena process for both Federal and State courts;
- Express ideas and message clearly, both verbally and in writing;
- Ability to analyze civil litigation documents and determine best course of action;
- Ability to work in a team environment, across various areas and levels of the organization;
- Ability to Multitask and manage more than one project simultaneous in an organized and timely fashion;
- Bachelor’s degree; and
- Paralegal Certificate or Legal Assistant Certificate.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $75,409 – $128,400. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AGCS total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
