The team and the role
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.
Within FP&A, the FBP organization works with business leaders to translate strategy into actionable plans, leverage in-depth analysis to provide the story behind the numbers and respond to business changes with agility. The FBP Senior Manager I role supports Audit & Assurance – East Region or West Region leadership (2 roles available), and specific responsibilities and qualifications for this role are outlined below.
Work you’ll do
Core responsibilities
- Manage a team of Finance professionals in the development and management of all planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical activities supporting Audit & Assurance – East Region or West Region leadership (2 roles available) with major business decisions and in overall financial health; coordinating with global Finance and shared services teams, as needed
- Review recommended bill and cost rate changes and collaborate with cross-functional groups to implement
- Partner with additional groups (e.g., Strategic Analytics) to monitor and forecast the economic and financial climate
- Interpret data analyses, understand potential business impacts, and develop recommendations for leadership
- Support executive leadership in identifying financial goals that align with firm and business strategy and with operational priorities, including driving profitable growth
- Leverage data and analysis to draw meaningful conclusions; Advise team on alternative approaches to analyzing complex data
- Oversee the implementation of changes to improve management reporting within FBP
- Lead and manage FP&A and broader Finance & Administration (FA) internal change programs focused on driving efficiencies and effectiveness
Other responsibilities
- Manage project plans to streamline project delivery; Initiate collaboration with cross-functional groups including firm leadership, Business leadership, FP&A teams (e.g., Finance Business Partners), and additional teams (e.g., Talent, Strategy)
- Communicate goals to team members, facilitate conversation, and provide strategic feedback on presentations to align programs with Finance and the overall firm strategy
- Establish a shared purpose across a team; Set priorities, define business problems, and empower teams to support resolution of business issues
- Promote collaborative working relationships and effectively develop talent by providing opportunities aligned with career goals
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant Finance experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Planning and forecasting
- Project management
- Strategy development
- Quality and risk management
- Business and process improvement
- Implement action plans
- Communications and change management
- Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred:
- Advanced education degree
- Experience in a professional services firm
- Thought leadership and innovation
- Executive presence
- Understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Experienced in financial systems (SAP, Anaplan)
- Ability to travel as needed
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $208,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
