The Senior Manager, Applications and Engineering is responsible for, developing, implementing, managing, and supporting both SaaS and custom application solutions at Point B. This position supports critical business initiatives and works with business area stakeholders to understand their application needs and to prioritize, design, implement and maintain application solutions. The Sr Manager sets the strategy, architecture, and roadmap of all enterprise applications in partnership with the Sr Director of IT and business stakeholders and in alignment with Point B’s business objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Accountable for all enterprise business application development and support including SaaS solutions, custom applications, system integrations, and analytic applications

Responsible for helping set and maintain a roadmap for all enterprise applications

Accountable for setting business application architecture for custom applications and integrations, by providing leadership when designing solutions to meet current and future flexibility, scalability, exception handling, reporting, and integration requirements

Manages team of application administrators and engineers who build, deploy, and maintain our enterprise applications

Oversees 3rd party application development and support vendors

Successfully manages application budget by monitoring actual spend and maintaining spending forecasts

Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other operational leaders

Oversees business solution lifecycle execution: requirements, solution and design, software selection, implementation, adoption, measurement and management

Partners with technical program managers and application stakeholders to understand the business needs of our applications and develop business cases and ROI analysis as required to secure funding for new initiatives

Leads and coordinates day-to-day business applications operations including intake of new requests, development and testing, change control, deployments, and documentation

Builds and manages a versatile team that can share information and quickly and effectively pivot to meet emerging business needs

Makes hiring, promotion, compensation and termination decisions

Develops employees’ professional skills, provides career mentorship and ongoing leadership development

Grows and develops personal leadership skills

Upholds and models Point B leadership and culture tenets and values

Actively engages in Point B’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts

Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:

TBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s Degree preferred

Consulting experience preferred

5+ years of team management experience

7+ years supporting business applications including administration, requirements, configuration, selection, testing, raining, and support

7+ years of software development lifecycle experience including requirements, design, implementation, testing and support for both packaged and custom systems

5+ years of project management experience

3+ years of business applications architecture design experience

3+ years of working with data and analytics systems (e.g., data warehouse, reporting portal)

Experience working with system integrations

Experience with multiple technology service delivery models and methodologies (e.g., Agile, waterfall, DevOps, ITIL)

Experience developing application and product roadmaps

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The estimated salary range for this role is $127,000 – $209,000 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.

Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
