Job Description
Manages the career development culture throughout the organization. Evaluates the progressive performance management program including individual development plans, succession planning, links to business goals, and competency assessments. Manages the succession planning initiative, tracking of high potentials, and regular talent reviews.
Job Responsibility
- Provides leadership to Career and Performance Development team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Oversees the processes to ensure fair assessment of performance for all employees system-wide; researches best practices for establishing competencies for organizations nationwide.
- Monitors trends in usage and ensures that new modules are implemented and upgraded.
- Ensures that the goals are achieved by collaborating with other administrative offices.
- Works with business units to develop goals related to objective standards as part of a future pay-for-performance initiative.
- Strategizes the expansion of the Talent Review program for rating employees across similar roles to establish consistent expectations and provide for development of top and middle performers; serves as a liaison to the leadership, providing guidance for tracking strong and middle performers as part of an overall staff development and retention strategy.
- Coaches management in the effective feedback process and planning for talent management; links talent review plans to succession planning strategically, and tracks possible management position successors systematically through a software.
- Facilitates the Succession Plan process for identifying possible successors for management positions throughout the organization; identifies management positions and potential internal candidates using talent review information and leadership input.
- Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership / management experience, required.
- Change management experience, highly preferred.
- Human resources and/or operations leadership experience, highly preferred.
- Strategic organizational planning experience, highly preferred.
- Collaborative and strong partnership skills with C-suite experience, highly preferred.
- Program management experience, highly preferred.
- Strong agility to business needs, highly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $85,090-$147,220/year
