As the Sr. Manager in the Life Science OMICS Research Team, you will be the subject matter authority for core discovery proteomics research and the external face of the organization in this space. You will deliver a scientific program that grows the market in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams as well as for delivering a roadmap that delivers better-than-market growth.

As a group leader, you will lead a team of Proteomics Specialists to define and bring to market mass-spec based workflows that enable our customers to accelerate their science! The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and diligent individual who is passionate about science. You will have superb interpersonal and communication skills relevant to the role as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of peers, commercial sales, and marketing.
What you will do:
- Develop and establish the vision and goals that drive growth in core proteomics portfolio, including MS and non-MS based technologies
- Develop a product/workflow roadmap and applications roadmap to drive the portfolio into the discovery research space, partnering with R&D, product management and applications team to implement
- Perform market research, capture customer input (VOC) and emerging trends in the core proteomics discovery research space, develop and maintain current competitive marketing information for review and response.
- Lead all aspects of go-to-market plans for launch and support of core proteomics workflows/solutions
- Prepare and submit activity reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline growth reports.
- Active in the scientific community be delivering publications, presenting events, and participating in discussions/roundtables
- Coordinate activities that support sales and marketing including but not limited to scientific presentations, customer discussions and support as required
- Identify, engage, and collaborate with other life science instrument companies for co-development and/or co-marketing opportunities
- Identify and manage key collaborations and strategic accounts including growing the KOL network in the discovery proteomics research market
Education:
- Ph. D degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or a related field and experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics preferred
Experience:
- 8+ years of professional work experience, with at least 5 years directly focused on discovery proteomics research including but not limited to label-free and TMT quantitative proteomics, single-cell analysis, PTM studies and mass spec methodologies and data acquisition strategies such as DIA, DDA and PRM
- 1+ years of people management
- Understanding of discovery proteomics research, development and commercialization processes with the ability to effectively collaborate with strategy, product management and R&D leadership.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $141,000.00-$205,000.00.
