Senior Manager, Data Analytics and Insights

The Role

The FundsNetwork Data & Insights team is looking for an analytical individual to support our client-facing consulting function. You will be tasked with turning raw data into practical insights for some of the largest asset managers in the industry. You will use your industry knowledge and your understanding of the available data sets, to help define the best approach to meet our clients’ business objectives. You will build presentations to tell stories with data and make recommendations to senior executives at our client firms. This role will also support coverage for smaller, ad hoc data & insights requests from internal and external partners, becoming a trusted advisor on FundsNetwork data. Finally, you will contribute to new insights and approaches that will expand the boundaries of the analytics we deliver to our clients and help drive data commercialization opportunities for Fidelity.

The Expertise and Skills Your Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of financial services and/or management consulting experience
  • Excelling in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment with stellar track record of “getting it done” and driving initiatives from concept through launch
  • Strong problem-solver that thrives in ambiguity with the proactive ability to “figure it out” through curiosity and consistent determination
  • Strategic and analytical skills with the ability to formulate well-thought-out business requirements and turn those into plans that drive significant customer and business impact
  • Building positive relationships with partners and being able to influence and inspire colleagues across the organization without formal authority
  • Leading several efforts simultaneously using outstanding project/time management skills
  • Communicating with impact and clarity, both in your written and verbal delivery
  • Diligent complemented by a high degree of accuracy
  • Making decisions with data: experience mining data sources to answer critical business questions, prioritize opportunities and achieve results
  • Creating and working stories to completion individually and as part of an Agile team
  • Client facing experience preferred
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Basic working knowledge of database/analytics/coding tools & languages is considered a plus (e.g. SQL, Python, R, VBA, Java,…)

FundsNetwork is the industry’s largest open-architecture investment product platform, enabling investment management firms to offer their products to clients across all of Fidelity’s distribution channels (retirement, registered investment advisors (RIAs), retail/direct, broker/dealers, banks, family offices, and charitable).

FundsNetwork (FNW) provides access to approximately 23,000 CUSIPs from 680 third-party asset managers, whose products on the platform represent ~$3.9T or nearly half of Fidelity’s on-platform assets under administration (AUA) and third-party products are projected to contribute around $1.5B in annual revenue in 2022 (as of September 30, 2022)
