Role Overview
Manage a team of quality experts and deliver department strategy. Ensure the proper diagnosis and quality control of all jewelry creations serviced, produced, or in-transit through the workshop; Report on findings and provide recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities (or Mission)
- Manage the team of diagnosis & quality control experts
- Communicate regularly with Paris QA team to share results, challenges and evolutions
- Liaise with Director Jewelry Technical Services to ensure that all partners are trained and deliver our quality expectations
- Exchange regularly with workshop management to understand potential technical pain points and areas for improvement.
- Diagnose all inbound jewelry repairs and time-of-sale adjustments as needed; Prepare recommendations for adjustment/repair. Perform quality control outbound.
- Perform a detailed quality control of all Jewelry or High Jewelry produced in the workshop; Prepare in-depth assessments and communicate on findings with Workshop Management and Quality Assurance team in France.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance teams in Paris and Lyon to ensure transparency, continuous improvement, and a high level of transmission
- Perform quality control and repair or adjustment recommendations for all Jewelry and High Jewelry in-transit into or out of the United States or to our wholesale partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Graduate Gemologist or equivalent preferred
- Fluency in French is required
- Minimum seven years’ experience working as quality controller for fine jewelry
- Ability to analyse jewelry from aesthetic and technical standpoints, to communicate on and present findings
- Capable of working and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic workshop environment
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite, namely Excel & PowerPoint
- Refined communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with a diverse team of technical experts
- Reflex to use critical thinking to analyse and solve problems

Expected Salary Range: $100K-125K annually.
Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
