The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Manager Enterprise Software Verticals Chief of Staff (Level L)- Virtual to join the Enterprise Software Verticals (ESV) team. This position is a corporate position that supports all of the business units at The Boeing Company.
The Chief of Staff role is a key position in the Boeing Software organization and will provide support to the Executive Director of Enterprise Software Verticals (EVS). This position requires strong engagement with Software engineering leaders across the Boeing enterprise. This position requires a broad business knowledge to connect and collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to support recommendations to the Executive Director of ESV.
The person in this role will keep the pulse internally and externally on prevailing issues impacting EVS and guide the ESV Executive Director to key areas of focus. This role is responsible for the coordination of execution & functional needs/deadlines across the ESV organization. This position will drive common execution across the ESV org and ensure best practices are implemented.
This position will require the ability to build relationships quickly at all levels of the organization. The Chief of Staff will need a strong understanding of prevailing function and organizational issues and need to provide recommendations on how address any issues. Being successful in this position requires coordination at all organizational levels of the Software Engineering Function including coordination with SW Eng FCE Chief of Staff.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of the EVS strategy, communications, stakeholder engagement strategy and operating rhythm
- Support the leadership team to drive performance and accountability through the organization
- Drive the operating rhythm including ESV LT meetings, Eng Review Boards, Risk Reviews, and partnering with Finance/WFS on LRBP execution and program engagements
- This role will help bring vision and strategy into reality across the ESV organization
- Own the definition of Agile execution across the ESV organization which will then also feed into the Software Engineering Function
- Ensure the development of Enterprise SW metrics that meet the Safety & Quality needs of the function

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- 5+ years Software Engineering leadership experience
- 5+ years experience with establishing and executing to an LRBP (Long Range Business Plan)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to influence direction of the org with and without direct resistibility
- Previous SW development experience
- Experience running an agile organization
- Metrics development and deployment (both technical and program management related)

Travel:
Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 20%.

Summary pay range: $143,650.00 – $224,250.00
