Senior Manager, Government Compliance

Do you want to help us build and re-invent how we monitor and maintain service authorizations for government use at the scale of AWS?

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced organizational leader to join our team. You will lead a high performing team of experts building scalable and durable mechanisms to advance our approach to earning the trust and authorization of our U.S. Government customers. Our team solves complex compliance challenges, improves documentation and continuous monitoring processes working with our third party auditors and partner teams across AWS while driving greater efficiencies across the security assurance organization. This role has the opportunity to help expand our catalog of FedRAMP and DoD authorized services enabling greater cloud adoption and meeting or exceeding the strict compliance and regulatory expectations of our U.S. Public Sector customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related fields, or equivalent experience. -15+ years of experience in project/program management in a technical field. -10+ years of leading teams focused on IT security audit, compliance, business continuity, resilience and/or relevant regulatory compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience with monitoring and automating security controls. -Have a record of delivery of IT process improvement projects with technology processes and/or major tech companies. -Have experience in cloud technologies. -Have experience in performing technical assessments and documentation of network, operating systems, application security, as well as auditing IT processes. -Have an understanding of evaluating the design and effectiveness of IT controls. -A portfolio of writing samples. -Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role. -Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $271,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
