Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empowers merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we’re seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.

This role requires an exceptional individual who is curious, analytical, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and a self-starter to join our team as a Research Manager I. This role is responsible for providing end-to-end quantitative market research support and expertise across our diverse clientele. It is a critical position focused on being a trusted partner and delivering best in class execution from questionnaire development through data deliverables. You’ll have an opportunity to use your knowledge of research and needs of our clients, in close collaboration with our product team, to discover and scale solutions to ensure we are delivering long-term value to Suppliers.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand Walmart Data Venture’s business, strategy, and values to evangelize them with Suppliers.
  • Provide strategic consultation to help Suppliers understand the research questions and methodologies to address key business challenges.
  • Execute all aspects of the research process from questionnaire writing and research design, field management, analysis, and interpretation of the results to preparation of reports.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Suppliers by responding to queries in a timely manner and providing updates per Supplier request.
  • Be a strategic researcher, passionate about data who can help Suppliers master our agile research platform.
  • Have a real impact at scale through trusted and strategic advisor relationships with Suppliers, Product, Account Management and Business Development teams.
  • Support product roadmap planning and prioritization by understanding client pain points and advocate for Suppliers regularly with our Product team.

Who you are:

  • Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality capability of working within tight deadlines.
  • You are able and nimble – and can work in a “start-up” like environment embedded within our large Walmart international corporation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation.
  • Data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Passionate about technology, marketing, market research and consumer insights.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency with designing questionnaires and analyzing quantitative results.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with online data collection tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SPSS and/or other quantitative reporting tools highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of sample management / collection and data quality.

The annual salary range for this position is $79,000.00-$169,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
