The Senior Manager I, Corporate Communications is an excellent project manager and communicator. Join the Global Communications team at Walmart and make an impact not only on the future of retail, but in the innovative, strategic, and integral areas of data productization and commercialization.
The role supports Walmart Data Ventures, where you will be managing multiple workstreams, aligning deliverables to an overarching strategy and collaborating with cross-functional partners. You’ll be supporting 360 comms work that reaches diverse audiences internally and externally. The ability to manage multiple deliverables, tight timelines, and cross-functional team input is key.
Walmart is focused on serving existing and future customers how, when and where they want. Data Ventures is productizing Walmart’s rich data assets to better serve customers. Walmart Luminate is a suite of data products that deliver actionable, customer-centric insights to help merchants and brands make better business decisions.
The Global Communications team makes things happen. Come with an ability to identify problems and offer solutions – quickly, creatively, and collaboratively. You should have a strong ability to manage projects end to end, understanding how each project aligns vertically to the overall strategic goals and horizontally with other work. You should be a self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to drive work on time to completion. Excellent judgement, strong communication, the ability to influence others and a conscientious working style are all critical to success in this role.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Providing creativity and strong project management skills to support strategic initiatives and advance business priorities through communication.
- Assisting senior management by developing and executing creative, comprehensive 360 communications plans targeting internal and external audiences to strengthen Walmart’s reputation and drive action; understanding business and societal trends to identity proactive and reactive public relations opportunities; engaging with reporters; developing content for our Walmart’s owned channels; monitoring and analyzing media coverage; identifying emerging digital and social media technologies to share our story; and identifying and engaging key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring corporate messaging enhances the reputation of business units across Walmart.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and media relations, identifying opportunities, and supporting internal and external perception of Walmart, including leadership in sustainability, opportunity, community and more.

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$195,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
