Position: Senior Manager II, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 702 SW 8th St., Bentonville, AR 72712

Duties: Business Partnerships: Consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings. People Development: Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Conducts performance and career development conversations, if applicable. Maintains team motivation and engagement. Mentors less experienced associates and managers. Project Scope: Owns complex projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Model Development: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Proof of Concept and Prototype: Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for complex projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development. Collaborates with cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, category management) on prototypes and algorithms. Data Collection and Analysis: Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analysis results. Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis. Collaboration: Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for complex projects for a business area, category or prototype. Collaborates and partners with external business partners and vendors. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Supervises 6. Telecommuting / working from home is permissible .

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related experience; OR 6 years of experience in data analytics or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Writing queries to pull data for analysis (MS SQL, Big Query); Business Intelligence Product Development (Tableau, SSRS, Power BI); Manipulating data and automating process using Python; MS SQL Server Management; Control Tower/Continuous Improvement; Automation using SQL; ETL; Data Migration from MS SQL to Google Cloud; Agile methodologies, ceremonies, process management (JIRA, Planner); Setting up alert mechanism to track job status (MS SQL Job Agent); and Process Control Charting & Analysis / DMAIC (SQL). Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $131,040 to 204,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives
