This role requires an exceptional individual who is intellectually curious, analytical, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and a self-starter to join our team as Data Solutions Senior Manager II. This role is a highly visible leadership position central to the continued growth, efficiency and success of Walmart Connect Data Intelligence. The role will have broad exposure across Analytics, Sales and Marketing teams within Walmart Connect. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Product Manager specializing in retail media analytics.

Roles Specific Responsibilities

  • Thought Leadership: You will be at the forefront of data management, analytics, and visualization, driving innovation and providing strategic guidance to the team. Your expertise in these areas will shape the direction of our data-driven initiatives.
  • Impactful Reporting and Analysis: You will be responsible for building, interpreting, quantifying, visualizing, and communicating the impact of data and other business intelligence to WMC internal teams and leadership. Your ability to create meaningful reports and analyses will enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Leveraging your knowledge of SQL, HIVE, mainstream reporting, and other business intelligence tools, you will aid in the design and development of complex data pipelines. These pipelines will be crucial for processing large datasets efficiently and effectively.
  • Executive-Level Support: You will support the development of executive-level presentations and perspectives, providing valuable insights and recommendations. Your ability to distill complex information into concise and impactful presentations will be key to influencing strategic decision-making.
  • Strategic Initiatives: As a Data Product Manager, you will drive strategic initiatives by identifying issues, creating hypotheses, executing analysis, and translating data into meaningful insights and actions. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping our long-term goals and objectives.
  • Data Source Improvement: You will identify gaps and opportunities for improving existing data sources. By collaborating with broader Walmart teams, you will acquire and summarize these sources within the WMC environment. Your efforts will enhance the quality and availability of data for our team’s use.
  • Team Evangelization: Facilitating the evangelization of the team’s charters, plans, and processes across WMC be a key aspect of your role. You will ensure that the value and capabilities of our team are effectively communicated and understood by stakeholders.
  • We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in data management, analytics, and visualization, along with experience in retail media analytics. Your ability to lead a team, drive strategic initiatives, and effectively communicate complex information will be crucial for success in this role. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, operations research, marketing analytics or any related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of prior professional work experience in analytical/quantitative roles – retail, media, consulting, advertising industry is a strong plus
  • Experience designing and implementing reporting solutions
  • Strong data visualization skills using Tableau
  • Strong programming skills in R/Python with a strong hands-on knowledge of Hive/Hadoop/Google Cloud Platform environments
  • Strong spreadsheet and presentation skills with an exceptional ability to communicate new ideas and findings
  • Self-starter looking to develop and apply analytical frameworks to help solve complex open-ended business questions with relevant data
  • A good balance of strong analytical skills and thought leadership
  • Thrives under pressure, balancing multiple workstreams and priorities

The annual salary range for this position is $144,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications…

experience in data analytics or related field.
