Senior Manager II, Business Development – Apparel Private Brands, at Walmart is responsible for supporting the effort to transform our Apparel business, foster internal and external collaboration, and partner with leadership to drive key initiatives. Ultimately, your goal is to help transform Apparel at Walmart.
Responsibilities
Senior Manager II, Business Development, will be a part of the Apparel Private Brand Group and will play an integral role in transforming the Apparel business at Walmart. This position reports to the Senior Director, Creative Operations for the Design and Brand team, and will work closely with leaders in Merchandising, Marketing, Site Experience, Editorial, Operations, Marketplace, and other Walmart corporate teams.
- Responsible for reviewing a business’ current strategy and goals to identify its potential strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
- Must have a Big Picture view in multiple areas – Building and maintaining an overall fact base of the current market, competitors and evolution of the market (Gap analysis)
- Serves as primary interface with executive sponsors and provides executive guidance to senior management
- Lead development of ongoing “dashboards” view into the business regarding performance and key analytics
- Acts as a thought leader to develop, implemented by reviewing and establishing strategic priorities and converts them to quantitative and actionable plans.
- Drive analysis and own utilization of private brands customer insights, macro trends, industry growth, and competitive landscape
- Responsible for continuously assessing the health of total private brands portfolio, developing a strategic POV for brand matrix, and building roadmaps to execute
- Lead material preparation for all SVP presentations, strategy needs, and leadership asks
- Provide thought leadership, risk assessment, and accountability for SVP
- Attend and/or drive important meetings with SVP and manage follow-ups
- Assist SVP in communicating and ensuring alignment on strategy across the Apparel organization
- Be the strategic point of contact for PDS, design, and brand teams
- Define and project manage private brands transformation
- Develop project plans and deliverables for each of the transformation workstreams, including roadmap, key milestones, and accountability
- Identify potential risks to strategy or timeline and develop mitigation plans
- Maximize efficiency and smooth operations of business procedures across the Brand/Design organization.
- Identify deficiencies in process and operations and provide creative solutions
- Mange planning, tracking and timelines associated with key projects
- Build processes to support growth strategy
- Conduct Cost/benefit analysis
- Build Frameworks and processes for the private brand group…. activities like brand portfolio, milestone calendars, brand marketing process, huddle and communication systems
- Ensure compliance/governance of processes
- Ways of working/role clarity processes across multiple functions

Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strategy consulting / investment banking experience preferred.
- Retail / fashion / ecommerce/ merchandising experience preferred.
- Interest in Apparel/Fashion a must

The annual salary range for this position is $89,500.00-$192,500.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
