The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer services.
The Senior Manager II, Marketplace Lead for Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) will be responsible for overseeing a high performing team of account managers who will work with SMB sellers to maximize their business performance on the walmart.com platform. You will set the overall business objectives and drive the day-to-day operations for the team to deliver the sales, profit, listing quality, seller performance and seller experience goals. You will prioritize and champion opportunities to expand selection, improve discoverability, influence pricing and inventory and drive adoption of seller growth programs. You’ll make an impact by:
- Managing performance: Drive performance against business goals and metrics. Lead annual and quarterly business planning and performance tracking for SMB sellers.
- Developing a SMB strategy: Define and execute a Marketplace SMB management strategy including seller cohorts, identifying key performance metrics, graduating sellers from Tier 2 to tier 1 accounts, pricing, inventory, campaign participation, program adoption and more.
- Strategic problem solver: Consistently operate with a systematic approach to solving complex business problems where no single ‘right’ answer exists. Ability to clearly define, analyze and propose multiple solutions that solve for the underlying objective while clearly articulating and identifying expected impacts & tradeoffs
- Driving seller growth: Partner with sellers to drive organic growth by expanding selection, improving offer quality, and managing in-stock. Serve as the lead account manager for a portfolio of partners and act as a trusted advisor, ensuring long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Working cross-functionally: Contribute to and inspire cross-functional collaboration & alignment on how to best achieve common goals effectively. Develop processes to support these outcomes and improve decision-making, problem solving & innovation between teams.
- Advocating for the platform: Champion and evangelize our platform, and its evolving capabilities, to our Marketplace sellers. Drive awareness and adoption of new seller services including Walmart Fulfilment Services (WFS) and Walmart Connect.
- Team alignment: Establish clear goals, objectives & success measures to support the short and long-term business strategy. Create and communicate a cohesive, shared understanding across all relevant teams and leaders.
- Leading and developing talent: Manage, coach, train and retain a team of high-performing account managers that continuously meet or exceed their account goals and revenue targets.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of leadership experience in eCommerce Operations, Customer Support, or Risk Management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Product & Engineering to develop homegrown solutions
- Track record in developing and launching services, translating customer needs into business requirements.
- Sound business judgement and the ability to influence others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters/advanced degree in business or technical field.
- Experience managing large scale operations in Ecommerce
- 3+ years’ experience leading people managers
- Ability to think & execute tactically and strategically in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective at managing difficult tradeoffs to meet deadlines across conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business positive outcomes
- Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000.00-$221,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
