The Walmart Marketplace business is part of Walmart’s ecommerce portfolio and is one of the fastest growing and most profitable business units. The Walmart Marketplace is in its 5th year and has seen tremendous growth in the past year. This growth combined with the industry ecommerce and customer dynamics has made Walmart Marketplace a highly strategic priority for Walmart for the next 5 years. Job Description

As a key leader in the US Marketplace business, you will build and operationalize strategies to enable the success of the capabilities and programs that will transform the seller and customer marketplace experience and accelerate the US Marketplace growth.

You will be successful if:
• You enjoy working cross functionally to solve problems and operationalize complex programs and strategies
• You are data driven and are able to connect threads between strategy, product and technology to build effective roadmaps with measurable impact
• You are able to build effective strategies to take Marketplace capabilities to our Sellers and drive adoption and growth via those capabilities
• You are able to drive executive narratives to remove blockers and enable Marketplace growth
• You are excited about streamlining processes and building effective operating models to support an ever-scaling organization
• You are an athlete and have the passion for marketplaces, sellers and customers, to be a champion across the entire Walmart organization
• You are biased for action, relentless about driving and owning the goal and you are motivated by the responsibility of delivering the most crucial capabilities for long term marketplace growth

You will make an impact by:

  • Enable launch of high performing Products – Build holistic and standardized strategies to take products to market, drive adoption and measure success and impact on core Marketplace metrics
  • Developing strategic roadmaps – Gain understanding of the problems, pain points and marketplace strategy and identify the right solutions that are executable. Build the overarching product and program roadmaps for bringing those solutions to the sellers and customers. Ensure alignment and buy in to the roadmap from complex cross functional stakeholders. Communicate roadmap across executive audiences
  • Removing roadblocks and implementing change – Identify blockers and best practices across workstreams and teams and drive continuous improvement in team operating models based on data; and persuading cross-functional teams (including engineering, business, product and partner teams) and stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Driving executive and cross functional alignment – Enable executive and cross functional teams to make strategic decisions by delivering effective data driven narratives and solutions to strike a balance between speed and scale
  • Building effective teams – Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Driving organizational change – Be passionate about the seller, be seller obsessed, set the example for your team and drive marketplace education that drives ownership across Walmart. The ultimate objective for you is to drive organizational and cultural change at Walmart to ensure Marketplace delivers on its longer-term goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and 4 years’ experience in program management, business strategy, product strategy or related area OR 6 years’ experience in program management, strategy, product strategy or related area.

2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.

3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.

MBA degree and management consulting experience is highly preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000.00-$221,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
