What will you do

The Senior Manager, Innovation Dietary Supplements will be responsible for crafting and executing the modernized global pipeline and own the development and stewardship of brand strategic plan and equity. This will include leading cross-functional teams to determine groundbreaking ways to build the Pipeline, challenging processes and timelines, and finding new ways to address pipeline gaps across the global portfolio. You will lead the team to seek opportunities to leapfrog the competition and be early to market with disruptive products and claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global innovation strategy/pipeline development.
  • Lead execution of innovation project governance this includes defining and leading all aspects of the launch – market strategy, business model, positioning, segments to launch, portfolio, claims.
  • Proactively identify strategic principles behind successful initiatives and work closely with regional teams to transfer learning to key markets
  • Partner with Design, packaging and R&D to optimize packaging and shelf-presence.
  • Assist in development and stewardship of brand strategic plan and equity (Brand Growth plan, Playbook, Brand book, brand guardrails, visual identity).
  • Facilitate sharing and scaling of key assets across Lead Markets and to Adapt / Sustain market.
  • Partner with Future of Hair Care team to develop and test new business models, channels and territories/underserved consumer segments for mid to long term launches (2022+).
  • Ensure quality and compliance among all employees through timely GMP training, strict compliance with procedures, exercising the highest integrity, timely reporting deviations noted in the workplace, and embracing employee involvement and commitment to doing the right job the first time.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing or a business-related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
  • Marketing experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated business leadership role within a consumer-packaged goods organization, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required. Dietary Supplements category experience is preferred.
  • Track record of experience leading, influencing and executing in a matrixed environment and cross-functional teams is required.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, and project management capabilities. Financial acumen and the ability to shape ambiguity using data and influence stakeholders is critical to success.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong strategic thinking skills, have strong negotiation skills, be able to work in a team environment and be customer/market-oriented.
  • Ability to work within and lead a cross-functional team is required.
  • Must possess demonstrated leadership and delivery of consistently strong results.
  • Strong business analytics, consumer insights development, understanding of core marketing levers and innovation development experience are required.
  • Experience working and collaborating with regional groups.
  • Track record of leadership as a strong marketer including experience setting a vision, developing and implementing successful business strategies, identifying white space opportunities, crafting innovation, and the ability to translate consumer insights into new product and/or claims.
  • Have previously led a matrix environment and cross-functional teams.
  • Know how to partner with R&D organizations to develop products supported by specific and relevant brand messaging is required.
  • Written and spoken communication skills.
  • Superior collaboration, influence, and negotiation skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience marketing in a digital world, (i.e. digital comms, social media, e-commerce, analytics etc.) is preferred.
  • Previous people management experience is preferred.
  • Preferably you have already worked in Supplements, but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500.
