Senior Manager, Kuiper Enterprise Applications, Kuiper Enterprise Technology

Project Kuiper is looking for a senior leader as head of our Enterprise Applications team, with strong proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning, Product Lifecycle Management, Manufacturing Execution, and Supply Chain Collaboration systems. As the leader of the team that implements, configures, and maintains these business applications you will play a key role in Kuiper’s success.

The Project Kuiper Enterprise Applications organization owns the software and services that keep our supply chain and manufacturing systems online and our business secure. To achieve this outcome, Think Big about our work and deliver a low-friction experience to your teammates and manufacturing partners. Grow a technical team with deep expertise, delivering highly-scalable systems and a delightful experience for all of your customers. Foster collaborative relationships, Dive Deep to understand and evolve business processes, and deliver world-class systems. Responsible for establishing long-term roadmaps, internal service models, and key business metrics that measure efficacy of the Enterprise Applications.

Key job responsibilities

– Establish long-term success that aligns with business outcomes

– Build and own tooling for business operations inclusive of resources to manage Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Supply Chain Workflow Tools (SCM).

– Work across Project Kuiper and Amazon organizations to deliver Enterprise Applications that raise the bar for all of Amazon

– Partner with internal customers and business stakeholders to ensure that Project Kuiper’s enterprise systems deliver the expected business results

– Recruit, develop, and retain top talent across your organization

– Manage relationships with key third-party software and consulting companies

– Work closely with internal information security and compliance teams to ensure applications are securely designed, configured, and operated to world-class standards

About the team

The Kuiper Enterprise Applications team owns the business systems that are the backbone of Kuiper’s manufacturing operations. The team’s stakeholders include supply chain, factory operations, engineering, legal, compliance, information security, launch, government systems, and mission operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of team management experience

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field or equivalent professional or military experience

– 10+ years of experience working with large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Execution, or similar business systems

– 7+ years of experience building, leading, managing, and mentoring high-performance teams in mission-critical roles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in a high-performance start-up or incubation effort within a larger company

– MBA

– Experience in aerospace or other complex manufacturing environments

– Experience with enterprise applications in a native cloud environment

– Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with technical, non-technical, and executive audiences

– 5+ years leading SAP ERP Infrastructure, inclusive of Business Analysis, ABAP Engineers, and supporting resources

– Knowledge of and experience with software licensing agreements and technology products and services with a well-defined return of investment

– Great business and technical vision, with experience taking a project from inception to delivery

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
