Senior Manager of Logistics Operations

The Senior Manager of Logistics Operations is responsible for managing the internal supply chain (shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling) to the corporate office. They will provide strategic planning to achieve key business objectives in our logistics operations and will act as a subject matter expert in support of operational best practices including supply chain, outsourcing, operational optimization, and tools/technologies. They will also direct and manage the day-to-day activities of the organization’s logistics operations to achieve KPI goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics operations team to drive KPI’s
  • Locate problems in the company’s supply chain through quality control checks
  • Establish objectives for increased output and improved efficiency
  • Develop tools to automate repetitious processes
  • Resolve inventory management concerns
  • Support marketing events logistics coordination
  • Manage day-to-day input and output of logistics and marketing products
  • Lead project implementation to drive process improvement initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to calculate the cost-benefit ratio
  • Monitor the overall budget of the business
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets
  • Define new data collection and analysis processes
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Required Qualification:

Years of Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent degree and 10 years of relevant business experience OR High School diploma/GED and 15 years of relevant business experience; in logistics, supply chain management, and/or project management

Work Experience

  • Proven track record for leading and developing teams that are proactive in driving process improvement
  • Experience working with 3PL companies

Knowledge and Skills

  • Expert in leading and mentoring a team to execute daily operations KPI goals
  • Proactive and can work well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Work well with cross functional teams
  • Strong ownership and organization skills
  • Proven skills with MS Visio and MS Excel to successfully execute projects
  • Working knowledge and understanding of supply chain, global logistics, and trade compliance
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining strong partnering relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel domestically – approximately 5% travel

$85,000 – $120,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
