This role will contribute to the strategy and execution of the Operational Excellence Roadmap at the Jump Manufacturing site in Bothell, WA. This individual contributor role is designed for a person motivated to lead and drive process optimization initiatives across GPS Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other site critical functions in support of exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance. Operational Excellence (OE) Team: We are a team focused on creating a continuous improvement culture (i.e., lean operations) at the site. We promote the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and change management techniques to meet business objectives and build the foundations to drive continuous, sustainable, flawless execution and performance improvement. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree of Engineering/Business/ Science or related discipline Lean Six Sigma Certification, Green or Black Belt or Equivalent 5-7 years’ experience leading and supporting operational excellence transformations in a pharmaceutical or a related regulated industry Development of Value Stream Maps, Process Maps, Tier Management Systems, Time Studies, Line Balancing Charts and other lean tools Experience using ERP systems Experience with process mapping software such as Visio, Lucidchart etc. Proven experience in project management, facilitation, training, and change management Thorough understanding of the Six Sigma and Lean philosophies and can teach and coach others how to apply Six Sigma and Lean concepts and foundational tools Strong verbal and communication skills, and a well-developed ability to constructively work across matrix functional areas and levels to achieve results Skilled in critical thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to recognize issues, highlight risks and prioritize workload based on business goals Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement programs with quantifiable business results Ability to influence, build relationships, and manage change effectively across a highly matrixed organization Excellent time management & organizational skills along with a proven ability to multi-task while promoting a growth mindset Key Responsibilities: Analyze the efficiency and costs of existing business operations and implements changes or improvements when necessary Coordinate a site level value stream/process portfolio with key process owners to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and create value Establish and maintain best practices in areas of business processes, KPIs, and analytics including visual management systems Act as a coach for program/project teams, leadership teams and departments on use of Lean methodology, use of Six Sigma methodology, use of project management skills, and use of change management tools Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization through fostering cross functional relationships, decreasing redundant work, and development of continuous improvement strategies Leads effort across the business to identify improvement opportunities Facilitate and lead kaizen workshops, value stream mapping, process mapping, SIPOCS, and other key continuous improvement tools/skills Provide specific tools and lean technique training (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Kata Coaching, etc.) to develop an organic continuous improvement capability over time while promoting a growth mindset Execute high impact, complex improvement projects of large scope and complexity that deliver business benefits and measurable outcomes Utilize data analysis and analytics to develop key performance metrics, support capacity models, and improve overall operational performance Design and facilitate cross-functional workshops to understand current processes, conduct root cause analysis investigation, design future state, and develop change plans Acts as a liaison and SME connecting the site value stream and process management with the overall CTO Strategy and Business Excellence organization standards The starting compensation for this job is a range from $114,000 – $144,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided based on demonstrated experience.
