Job Description:
The Senior Manager for People Analytics & Data Science is responsible for providing thought leadership & strategic thinking for the purpose of forecasting, analyzing and predicting various workforce conditions and its associated impact on specific areas of the business. You and your team will solve business problems by leveraging data driven insights, business intelligence and industry best practices using techniques such as segmentation, optimization & advanced analytics to provide sustainable solutions and recommendations. This role will closely monitor performance metrics and KPIs to ensure goals are met and course correct as necessary. You will work closely with HR Consultants, COEs, People Services and Solutions leaders and Business Leaders to deliver advanced people analytics, workforce planning and reporting to support the employee experience and service delivery model.
In this People Services & Solutions leadership role you will continuously improve our capabilities; enabling data-driven decisions while leading a team of high performing quantitative analysts and will be responsible for ensuring the team stays motivated and engaged. You will manage team performance, coach, and develop employees and build our People Analytics function. Strong leadership to identify and prioritize to flawlessly execute on initiatives and set strategic direction for the team on analytic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provides thought leadership & strategic thinking to translate business problem into analytical framework(s), and independently recommend actions and provide business insights.
- Leads the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithm & recommendation to solve business problems.
- Operates as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiment, analysis methodology, modeling & application, and financial impact analysis
- Partners with stakeholders to understand their challenges, frame opportunities, and design analytics, build and implement models and strategies or research solutions to address their needs
- Develop self-service data solutions that enable stakeholders across the company to have on demand data for managing business priorities
- Use data to tell a story and influence and consult on action planning
- Perform in-depth research and modeling for various HR and workforce initiatives to provide leadership insight to potential outcomes.
- Establishes and maintains effective performance tracking; identify improvement opportunity, form hypothesis, proposes, designs and implements tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization
- Recruits, trains, coaches and develops talents to their full potential with exceptional quantitative/analytical competencies, as well as project management skill and leadership skills. Manages and sets priorities of analyst, assign projects and allocate resource, communicate business performance and project progress to management & business partners.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Delivers effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creates visual displays of quantitative information. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy.
- Ensures standard work processes and documentation requirements are timely and consistently followed by team. Encourages continuous improvement of team processes and share across functional teams to ensure consistency.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelors Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations or HR/People Analytics, Modeling or related
- 2+ years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
- 8+ years of experience in a People Analytics/Data Science role
- 5+ years of experience in people management
- Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or Statistics
Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $146,000.00 to $204,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
