Senior Manager – PMO, Business Feature Acceptance

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the Platform Team that writes Business and Technical requirements and features for Retail Wireless Products and Services. This includes providing technical direction on projects/programs, idnetifying and removing roadblocks and technical risks, building trust with cross-functional teams, growing and developing your team, and connecting project dependencies across business portfolios.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Be insightful of the long term goals of the Platform Team in working with both Business and IT teams. Help and assist in process improvements and efficiencies for the advocacy for the team and also the betterment of the organization.
  • Understand the overarching business strategies across all brands and how that translates to the direction, workload, and career growth for team members.
  • Capable of being able to pivot with leadership on shifting priorities and managing the workload of the team
  • Technical lead and liaison advocating for Business needs with IT development teams.
  • Business subject matter expert on technical functionality that supports the Boost Business on different IT platforms.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager partners to ensure timely delivery of requirements ensuring projects stay on schedule
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional Business teams to understand, incorporate and solve for current technical/functional limitation(s) to achieve Business strategic goals.
  • Lead the effort to document business requirements, use cases, and customer experiences to meet business strategic initiatives in delivering MVP solutions.
  • Be analytical in translating customer/financial data into requirements and use cases in a timely manner.
  • Understand the dependencies and functional capabilities of different platforms and how they impact the customer experience from an overall brand customer experience perspective. Resolve potential functional conflicts between various platforms with recommendations based on data and testing.
  • Collaborate with IT team(s) to ensure business requirements, use cases, and customer experiences align with and satisfy business goals for products and services. This will require a full understanding of the products and services being requested and the impacts on the business positive impacts by implementing it and negative impacts by not implementing it)
  • Be the business lead/POC on IT design, development, QA, and implementation to ensure Business objectives are met. Be the Business signoff on all technical requirements and documents.
  • Proactively identify and document potential functional gaps on various platforms and recommend an approach that addresses the gaps and prevents the possibility of negative impacts to the support of future business initiatives

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • BA/BS in a technical or business discipline, or
  • 4+ years of direct management of team members a plus
  • 7+ years of Product Owner, Product Manager, Project Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to present and explain complex technical information to senior leadership
  • Ability to extract complex technical/functional needs on various platforms into concise and logical requirements
  • Self-motivated with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources and work well in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to advocate for business needs while solving technical and platform challenges
  • Experience in the wireless industry is preferred.

Salary Range

Compensation: $110,110.00/Year – $157,300.00/Year
