What you will be doing
The Own Brands Senior Manager, Revenue Management, can be located in any of the following locations near a division or corporate office: Boise, ID, Pleasanton, CA, Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Seattle, WA, Bellingham, WA, Portland, OR, Dallas, TX, Lubbock, TX, Malvern, PA, Denver, CO, Lanham, MD, West Bridgewater, MA.
- Develop and drive category and revenue management analytics, insights and recommended actions for Own Brands categories to achieve share, sales and profit objectives, with the Vice President, Own Brands Revenue Management & Sales Planning.
- Support all Own Brands categories with consumer/shopper data with actionable insights to drive business decisions.
- Lead the development of Own Brands pricing strategy for all categories, defining the role pricing will play in the overall category strategy and identifying the optimal pricing architecture and promotional strategy to drive both the Own Brands business and total category performance.
- Drive execution of portfolio strategy by partnering with Own Brands category teams, National Category Directors, Divisional Vice Presidents of Merchandising & Marketing, and Pricing teams to implement and measure initiatives.
Main responsibilities
- Leads the development of pricing and promotion strategy for COS/Fresh categories, through strong communication that includes a plan of action clear expectations, accountability.
- Analyze base pricing across categories and divisions to highlight most important pricing opportunities for Own Brands.
- Develop pack-price architecture recommendations for Own Brands by category in collaboration with Category teams, identifying the optimal packs/sizes and price points. Collaborate with the Sales Planning team to support implementation in the divisions.
- Develop business rationale supported by data/analytics, develop Pricing/Promotional plan, present to senior management, and track implementation/execution.
- Build reports to monitor base & promotional pricing by division and provide weekly update to leadership.
- Partner with leadership to understand business initiatives and related pricing implications. Anticipate marketplace events and develop “what-if” scenarios to address changing business dynamics.
- Lead collaboration with cross functional partners and external stakeholders. (e.g., Pricing Team, Catalyst, Symphony Retail).
- Support the Category Directors to set vision, objectives and plans for category, brands and new items.
- Support Division leaders on ad hoc pricing and promotional activity requests.
- Operate with an enterprise mindset, making decisions that account for the impact across their stakeholders and team.
- Creative in finding new solutions to complex and time sensitive challenges that may arise.
- Work to maximize the team’s efficiency, productivity, and performance.
- Prioritize and develop the team by providing regulator feedback and setting clear goals.
The salary range is $102,000.00 to $143,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (9days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility). Associates in this position are eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Marketing, Economics, or Finance.
- 8+ years experience selling / influencing decision makers.
- 8+ years of category management and/or Revenue Management (pricing, Promotion, assortment) experience for a CPG or retail company.
- Deep understanding and experience with the leading analytical methodologies to analyze category performance in a CPG or retail environment.
- Expert knowledge of Own Brands’ operations and business.
- Experience and knowledge with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Spins).
- Expert analytical skills: category management analytics, PC skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
- Demonstrated success at Manager level.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional team members and external stakeholders to deliver projects.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking. Strong understanding and application of innovation thinking and the 4Ps of marketing.
- Demonstrated high capacity, strong work ethic and productivity. Ability to multi-task and manage many complex projects and priorities.
- Expert organization, prioritization, and project management skills, with the ability to develop detailed timelines and ensure all milestones are delivered by due dates. Ability to track issues across multiple locations / departments / divisions.
- Demonstrated successful written and oral presentations skills. Ability to structure and deliver persuasive recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to go above and beyond to deliver results, defining projects without direction from others.
- Demonstrated strong analytics and category management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders to manage the business.
- Must be able to understand and communicate techniques involved in training, merchandising and marketing Own Brands items.
- Strong customer service focus and team building skills. Strong understanding of the Albertsons divisions and how to influence merchandising.
- Advanced presentation skills with the ability to present to senior leaders both internally and externally.
- Travel requirements: 15-20%
